Waterford Chambers of Commerce recently launched the 2016/17 Waterford Business awards at a well-attended event in the Medieval Museum in Waterford City, with final entries due on or before 21st of November, 2016.
Last year, the short list in the best small business categorically included Pricved, Everyevent and Kearney Engineering.
In the food and agriculture section, the three businesses short listed were The Dungarvan Brewing Company, Flahavans and Walshs Bakehouse.
From manufacturing, last years’ short list of three was made up of PMBRC, Que 1 Scientific and TEVA Pharmaceuticals.
As regards Waterford’s Bourgoeing Tourism & Hospitality Industry, the shortlist nominees were Bodega Restaurant, Theatre Royal and Winterval Festival.
The overall winner of the business of the year award last year was Nearform. Everyevent won the best small business award, Flahavans was victorious in the food and agri category and TEVA Pharmactiuels won the manufacturing and industry sector.
This year Waterford Business Award has added two more award categories bringing the total number to 12.
