Wills

A will is one of the most important decisions in your lifetime. If a will is not made, the state gets to decide what happens to your property through the Law of Intestacy.

For example, if you have not made a will and die “intestate” leaving a wife/civil partner and three children to inherit your estate, the state will give two-thirds of your estate to your spouse/civil partner and the remaining third to be distributed between your three children.

However this may not be what you had wished for. Hence a valid will is very important in order to ensure that the state does not charge you for its “intestate service” and that your property/estate is distributed as per your wishes.

HD Keane Solicitors LLP specialise in the compilation of wills to help ensure they are water-tight, thus minimising the risk that they will be contested at a later date.
